But this could be the worst choice from the maker’s side and could lead to trolling. And, let’s delve deeper into why and what are the reasons that Rajkummar Rao could be a bad choice for the Ganguly’s Biopic.

DADA — A Known Brand in Cricket!

Sourav Chandidas Ganguly is the officially registered full name, and the cricketing world knows him popularly as Maharaja of Indian Cricket’. Fans have been calling him ‘DADA’ which means elder brother in Bengali.

Moreover, Sourav Ganguly captained the Indian national cricket team and is widely recognized as one of the nation’s exceptionally successful cricket captains.

Maharaja of Indian Cricket introduced the Captain Cool!

Now the world popularly knows MS Dhoni as ‘Captain Cool’ but it was Sourav Ganguly who introduced him to international cricket. Dhoni made his debut in 2004, while Dada was the captain of the Indian cricket team.

Also, he insisted Dhoni perform batting at number 3 against Pakistan, which ultimately contributed value to the match with Dhoni’s maiden international ton scoring 148 runs out of 123 deliveries faced.

Fans always loved Sourav Ganguly for his bold decisions and encouraging young talents, as he was the one who believed MS Dhoni’s thunderous stroke play could be effective in international cricket.

Rajkummar Rao steps into Sourav Ganguly’s shoes for the Biopic!

Bollywood’s most versatile actor, Rajkummar Rao has a great sense of script selection and now takes a big leap. Now that Sourav Ganguly’s biopic has been decided, the makers choose Rajkummar as the best choice for DADA’s character.

The 40-year-old actor had proved successfully sustained in the film industry with pure talent and picking the right films. Moreover, he has won many awards includes —  1 National Film Award, 4 Filmfare Awards, and 1 Asia Pacific Screen Award.

Born on 31st August 1984 and hailing from Haryana, Raj Kumar Yadav changed his surname and spelling in 2014. He had changed his surname from ‘Yadav’ to ‘Rao’ saying both are family names. Also, Rajkummar added another ‘m’ to his spelling, referring to his mother’s belief in numerology.

From making his debut with renowned director Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Rann’ in 2010 to being a popular actor starring alongside Shraddha Kapoor’s ‘Stree 2’ in 2024, is a phenomenal success.

Facial Surgery Gone Wrong?

It was very shocking for the nation to see a versatile actor ruining his looks and fans were devastated to see Rajkummar Rao in a completely different from what he was.

This became the talk of the town, referring to his facial surgery, but Rajkummar Rao has shattered all the rumors by confirming that he has not undergone any surgeries.

Now, there are many questions arising, and we will be highlighting those from the audience’s point of view as follows.

Why is Rajkummar Rao looking different? What happened to him?

It isn’t any sort of surgery, but Rajkummar has accepted the truth of using ‘Fillers’ to correct his Jawline.

In addition, Rajkummar Rao has used:

  • Chin Fillers
  • Nose Fillers
  • Buccal Fat Removal

Why is Rajkummar Rao a BAD CHOICE for Sourav Ganguly’s Biopic?

Despite being a versatile actor and having received many prestigious awards, Rajkummar Rao is the latest victim of trolls on social media. The 40-year-old actor used to deliver a subtle and natural performance with a good physique and facial personality. But recently he has ruined his look using fillers to correct his jawline, nose, and chin.

We all know that a Biopic is shot with look-alike personalities to bring that nostalgic feel to the screen, and that is what the makers have done with ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’. Although Sushant Singh Rajput doesn’t look like Dhoni in real life, he was made to look alike on screen with his long hair and mannerisms.

Sourav Ganguly has a wide jawline, and a stout face with a fair complexion, whereas Rajkummar Rao is completely a contrasting selection to these criteria. Especially, the current look of Rajkummar has left fans in shock, and they feel he would not be apt for the role (not in terms of acting).

Everybody knows how well Rajkummar can perform onscreen, so no one is worried about his acting skills. The audience watching the film might relate to the story, events, and happenings around Sourav Ganguly. But they will not accept or relate Rajkummar Rao to Dada’s role in terms of look.

Fans have started discussions about this topic on social media, as Sourav Ganguly’s biopic is a legacy apt for the silver screen. Hence, the fans are worried about the result, which is not to be ruined by the makers.
