PSL 2023 Winner Predictions

In 2023, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will be played in a double round-robin format, the PCB announced. The PSL format is rather simple. It calls for a total of 10 matches for each team.

Each team plays the other twice before the top four teams move on to the playoffs. The Pakistan Super League is required to follow by the rules and regulations set forth by the International Cricket Council, also referred to as the ICC Board.

As usual, picking a team to win a T20 tournament is tough. It is because the game of T20 can be won by a single batsman or a bowler on their day. In addition, the fast pace of T20 games makes it even tougher to predict the winner.

But after analysing each team carefully based on their recent performances & the pool of players that they have, we have compiled a list of our top 3 favourite teams that can go on & win the HBL PSL 8 trophy.

The favourites to win PSL 2023 season are.

  • Quetta Gladiators
  • Peshawar Zalmi
  • Islamabad United

Now, we will analyze these 3 teams to predict why they can go on to win the PSL 2023 title.

1. Quetta Gladiators

Quetta Gladiators is a PSL franchise based in Quetta, the provincial capital of the Balochistan province of Pakistan. They play most home games at the 27,000-capacity Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. In addition, the Gladiators won and became the champions in the PSL 2019 edition.

For the eighth PSL season, Sarfraz Ahmed will serve as captain of the Quetta Gladiators team. Quetta Gladiators will play 10 PSL matches this season, per the PSL 2023 schedule. The team has 7 top batsmen, 6 All-rounders & 5-Bowlers is the perfect combination for this team. This makes the Gladiators a top contender for the PSL 2023 title.

2. Peshawar Zalmi

Peshawar Zalmi, a PSL 2023 franchise, is the team that represents Peshawar, the provincial capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The team’s current captain is Babar Azam, and the head coach is Daren Sammy.

The PSL’s 2017 champion was Peshawar Zalmi. They defeated the Quetta Gladiators and won by 58 runs. However, with Babar Azam joining the squad as captain this season, Quetta Gladiators Team 2023 is powerful enough to defeat any PSL team & win the trophy.

3. Islamabad United

Islamabad United is a professional Twenty20 cricket franchise side that plays in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Subsequently, the squad came into force in 2015 to compete in the competition’s inaugural season, and it is present in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.

Predictions for the PSL in 2023 are more favourable for the Islamabad United squad. In addition, Islamabad United is the only PSL team to win two trophies. They were the inaugural PSL champions and reigned supreme in the PSL in 2018. Only Islamabad United is the stronger squad with more tournament victories when you look at the standings of the previous PSL teams on the points table.

Conclusion

Predictions for the HBL PSL 8 have often shown which team will win. Waseem Akram, Waqar Younis, and international cricket gurus all offer their opinions on the prospects of the PSL’s eighth season winning.
