Yes, Anushka Sharma and Sakshi Dhoni were classmates in elementary school, because the now-Bollywood actress belonged to army background. And, because of that, she studied in many parts of the world.
Anushka’s father, Ajay Kumar Sharma, was posted in Assam, and at that time, she, along with Sakshi Singh Dhoni, used to study in the same school and class. Some unseen photographs refreshed their memories as classmates! And, those photos were shared by the former’s social media fan page.
While most of them don’t know this, only a few are aware that Sakshi and Anushka were at the same Assamese school. In addition, they claim that they were also classmates of these two.
Old Photograph takes us back in time!
There is an old photograph that has been circulating on the internet, where Anushka and Sakshi are seen smiling together. Both of them looked very young, as they were just students, and the image showcases Anushka’s father, posted in Assam.
The Bollywood actress attended St. Mary’s School, which happened to be the same institution where Sakshi Singh Dhoni was pursuing her education.
On top of that, a few other photographs surfaced on the internet in which Sakshi, Anushka, along her brother Karnesh Sharma posed together. After this picture came out in the vision of public, the media reported that Anushka and Sakshi studied in the same Assamese school and were classmates.

In one of her interviews, Anushka Sharma talked about Sakshi Singh Dhoni. She said, “YES! Sakshi and I lived together, did our schooling in a very small town in Assam. We were classmates, but initially we couldn’t grasp each other’s appearance and didn’t recognize.”
Adding to this, Anushka explained about how their discussion started initially, saying “Sakshi told me that she lived in Assam and I said WOW, I lived there too! And, then she told me about her school and I said I too did my schooling there.”
She explained how they re-introduced each other, and Anushka further described the photograph, saying:
“Later, I found a photo in which I am dressed in a Ghaghara like my favorite idol, Madhuri. Whereas, Sakshi is dressed as a fairy, and she looks funny.”
Anushka Sharma to Act in a Cricketer’s Biopic!
Anushka Sharma has a strong connection with cricket, as her husband, Virat Kohli, is a modern-day legendary Indian star cricketer.
On the other hand, she has been signing autographs rarely. Probably she was waiting for the right script to do after giving birth to two children and becoming a responsible mother.
Recent announcement have been surfacing on the internet that Anushka Sharma is acting in a film “Chakda Xpress”. This film is highly anticipated as the storyline is based on the biopic of cricketer Jhulan Goswami.
In addition, this movie is going to be the comeback of Anushka Sharma to Film after 4 long years. She last appeared in Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif’s starrer Bollywood film “Zero” back in 2018 and made a cameo appearance in “Qala (2022)”, a period psychological drama flick she co-produced along with her brother Karnesh.
