In the first match itself, Babar Azam was looking in great form. He had the maximum chance to become the fastest player to get 10K runs in T20 against the Gladiators. But, Abrar Ahmed grabbed his wicket as Mohammad Wasim took a stunning catch. As a result, Babar had to wait for his next match to achieve the crucial milestone in his career.

Once again, Babar Azam’s half-century went in vain consecutively for the 2nd time. The Karachi Kings won against Peshawar Zalmi by chasing the target conveniently with a 7-wicket win and 19 balls to spare.

Babar Azam’s joyful moment was short-lived as Kieron Pollard and James Vince completely overshadowed the Peshawar Zalmi skipper’s performance:

  • James Vince: 38 runs from 30 balls (including 3 fours and 1 six)
