Scoring a century in the Indian Premier League (IPL) is a remarkable milestone for a batsman to celebrate in the 20-over format. While 100+ centuries have been scored in IPL history, Virat Kohli tops the chart by scoring 8 tons to his name.
As per the records updated till the 42nd match of IPL 2026 between the Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, a total of eight centurions have created a sensation with their high-scoring knocks.
South African wicketkeeper-batsman Ryan Rickelton became the latest entrant to the list after scoring a 123-run knock against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who scored his second IPL century at a very young age, took social media by storm.
Notably, six out of eight batters remained unbeaten when they amassed a triple-figure score. With IPL 2026 entering May, here is a glance at the top scorers who lit up this season with top-notch centuries.

Rahul’s performance bolstered DC to accumulate 264/2 in 20 overs at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. However, his knock went in vain as PBKS comfortably chased down the target with 7 balls to spare and secured a 6-wicket win.
2. Abhishek Sharma (Sunrisers Hyderabad): 135* Runs vs Delhi Capitals

Chennai Super Kings opener Sanju Samson amassed 115 runs off 56 balls (including 15 fours and 4 sixes) against Delhi Capitals. This was the first instance for the Kerala-born cricketer to score a century this season at the MA Chidamabaram Stadium in Chennai.
A couple of weeks later, Samson scored 101 runs off 54 balls (including 10 fours and 6 sixes) against the Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium. This was indeed his second century of the ongoing season and the fifth throughout his IPL career.
Both of his centuries this season contributed to a winning cause for the Super Kings. Notably, Samson batted at a strike rate of 150+ in these two games, setting a foundation to post mammoth totals.
5. Quinton de Kock (Mumbai Indians): 112* Runs vs Punjab Kings
Despite Quinton de Kock’s unbeaten 112-run knock off 60 balls (including 8 fours and 7 sixes), the Mumbai Indians managed to compile 195/6 in 20 overs against the Punjab Kings.

The only middle-order batsman of the IPL 2026 who scored a century this IPL 2026 season is none other than Tilak Varma.
In the 30th match of this season between the Mumbai Indians and the Gujarat Titans, the left-handed batter’s unbeaten 45-ball-101-runs (including 8 fours and 7 sixes) guided his team to set a 200-run target against GT. His knock contributed to a 99-run victory for MI at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
