The former Indian cricketer and head coach of Gujarat Titans (GT) Ashish Nehra might leave the franchise ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 edition. Also, GT’s director of cricket Vikram Solanki seems to have taken the same decision.
Since the debut season in 2022, both Nehra and Solanki have been with the franchise that won its maiden title in the same year and concluded as the runner-up in the next edition in 2023 under Hardik Pandya’s captaincy. Also, Ashish Nehra became the first Indian coach to win an IPL title in 2022.
Shockingly, the Titans led by Shubman Gill concluded at the eighth position in the IPL 2024 points table.
Mainly, Hardik Pandya’s trade to Mumbai Indians made the Gujarat Titans struggle to find a perfect balance in the playing XI. Ashish Nehra and Yuvraj Singh have been good friends and together played many cricket matches for the Indian Cricket Team for a long time. Also, these two cricketers were part of Team India’s 2011 ODI World Cup winning squad led by MS Dhoni.

Earlier, Yuvraj Singh mentored the Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill in his early cricketing days, and the duo share a great understanding off the field.
