Team India’s schedule for the blockbuster home season between September 2026 and February 2027 has officially been announced.
As per the schedule unveiled by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), there will be 22 international fixtures across 17 cities at home— 9 ODIs + 8 T20Is + 5 Tests.

India’s Home Test Venues 2026-27: BCCI’s Costly Mistake
The Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia is the only home test series for India where core cities like Mumbai and Kolkata won’t host any matches.
In other words, BCCI excluded the most iconic venues like Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata and Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai from hosting 5-match test series against Australia.
Fans consider it the biggest misstep that the Indian cricket board has ever committed in organizing a home test series.
