But then he returned with the greatest comeback of glorious victory in the T20I World Cup for India. And that man of inspiration told me to focus on hard work & skills, as only those matter, and not the noise, good or bad; it doesn’t matter at all.”

In addition, Ranveer showered praises on Hardik, who is well aware of the rollercoaster of public opinions. As he faced severe injuries, setbacks, and huge criticism, and later helped India win the T20 World Cup 2024. Not just this, he played a major role in the 2025 Champions Trophy too. Similar Controversy of Hardik

Earlier, Hardik Pandya had also faced severe criticism and backlashes in 2019. The all-rounder cricketer had appeared on a talk show, ‘Koffee with Karan.’ In that show, the remarks he made went viral and drew the attention of netizens.

Later, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) suspended the all-rounder cricket player for his comments on the nationally telecast talk show. But after this, Hardik bounced back quickly from the setback and lent his major role to the Indian national cricket team.

Indian TEST Cricket needs Hardik, says former New Zealand all-rounder.

Craig McMillan expressed his views on the Indian Test, saying that a player like Hardik Pandya is essential for the squad. Especially, he reiterated about the overseas tour, where the Asian conditions might need spin-bowler all-rounders like Ravindra Jadeja, Washington, and earlier Ravichandran Ashwin too.

But when it comes to the conditions of Australia, England, and New Zealand, McMillan highlights that it is important to have a pace-bowling all-rounder. Exactly, that is where India is lacking, leaving star all-rounders like Hardik Pandya.

However, the 31-year-old cricketer is preparing himself for an important phase. As of now, Hardik’s place in the India squad for the Asia Cup 2025 is not finalized. It will depend on how fit he is and other assessments at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.

If Pandya can clear that, then it is certain that the star all-rounder will be part of the squad for the tournament beginning on 9th September 2025.
