Bangladesh Cricket Team FTP 2024 – 2027: Series and Tournaments Exciting Schedule
The ICC (International Cricket Council ) has announced the Bangladesh Cricket Team FTP 2024. The Tigers squad’s FTP (Future Tour Program) for international matches in 2024 starts by hosting the multi-format series against Sri Lanka.
Additionally, ICC has announced the FTP for Bangladesh Men’s cricket team from 2025-27. However, the exact dates and venue for these cricket matches will be officially announced soon.
Also, the Bangladesh cricket team will have a key focus on the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 tournament. Ahead of the grand tournament, Bangladesh will play a majority of the T20 matches games against Sri Lanka (3 T20Is) and Zimbabwe (5 T20Is).
According to the schedule prepared by ICC for the test playing nations, each team has to play at least two bilateral series in 10 years – one at home and another overseas.
If the board from different nations reaches an agreement, a particular team can play more than two bilateral series in the specified duration of years.
Importantly, the series can be shifted to a neutral venue like the UAE or USA, according to the FTP issued by the ICC.
For instance, if a team doesn’t want to travel to a particular nation due to security reasons, then the bilateral series can be conducted at a venue provided with proper facilities, according to the mutual agreement between both nations’ boards.
Similarly, the Pakistan cricket team in recent times has played several of its home bilateral series in the UAE ( United Arab Emirates).
